Game of Thrones is currently in the process of going out with a big bang, the latest piece of which we’ve received a new glance at via the preview video and photos down below.

This upcoming Sunday’s fourth episode of the HBO juggernaut’s eighth and final season shifts the show’s focus from one dire conflict to another, moving through the aftermath of “The Long Night” and towards the series’ (hopefully still) climactic battle for the Iron Throne. As Daenerys puts it in HBO’s episode preview, “We have won the Great War. Now we will win the Last War.” One might say that they’re in the endgame now.

Last week’s episode—now the most-watched in Game of Thrones history—found the forces of humanity neutralizing the threat of the Night King and his army of the undead, though they paid dearly for their victory, losing most of their army and a couple of valued allies in particular (though both of Dany’s dragons survived). This week’s 78-minute-long installment will make time for mourning (and burning) the fallen, as we see in HBO’s dour new photos.

Most troubling among this batch of photos, however, are the shots of a noticeably cozy and confident-looking Cersei and Euron Greyjoy, and the Iron Fleet they command. You can practically see that dastardly duo licking their chops at the thought of their opponents’ decimated army, champing at the bit to capitalize on the havoc the undead army wreaked. We, too, are eagerly anticipating the Last War, a conflict that may not muster the distinctively harrowing spectacle of the Battle of Winterfell, but will undoubtedly shape the future of Westeros, not to mention the quality of Game of Thrones’ conclusion and the show’s long-term legacy.

Game of Thrones airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on HBO. Preview this week’s episode below.
