Netflix’s Grace and Frankie has been renewed for a season four just weeks after its season three premiere. They’ve also announced the addition of Emmy-winning actress Lisa Kudrow to the show. Kudrow will shake up the already-irresistible chemistry between titular characters Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin). Most people will recognize Kudrow from her 10-season run as Phoebe Buffay on the massively popular sitcom Friends.
In Grace and Frankie, Kudrow will play Sheree, Grace’s longtime manicurist. As Grace and Sheree’s friendship blossoms, tensions develop between the new friends and an increasingly annoyed Frankie. Is three too much of a crowd, or will Frankie make peace with their new companion? Kudrow’s new role also reunites her with former Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman, who currently serves as executive producer for Grace and Frankie.
The 13-episode season four is set to debut in 2018. In the meantime, check out Paste’s ranking of Netflix’s original series. Grace and Frankie comes in at 19, between Fuller House and Club de Cuervos, which, in retrospect, may be a bit harsh.
