John Stamos to Join Fox’s Scream Queens

TV News

John Stamos’ experience as Dr. Tony Gates in ER may help him more in his next acting venture than the role of beloved Elvis-impersonating Uncle Jesse from Full House did.

Stamos has signed on to be a series regular in season two of Ryan Murphy’s horror-comedy on Fox, Scream Queens, where he will play a surgeon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Season two is set in the hospital where the finale of season one left off.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash are all set to reprise their roles.

Fox canceled the comedy Grandfathered in which Stamos most recently starred, but the actor will still appear in Netflix’s second season of Fuller House.

Season two of Scream Queens premieres Sept. 20.
