Outlander Casts Dunsany Sisters for Forthcoming Third Season

TV News Outlander

Outlander has added two more names for its forthcoming third season. The show announced Thursday that Hannah James and Tanya Reynolds will play Geneva and Isobel Dunsany, respectively.

Geneva is beautiful and headstrong, but also petulant, spoiled and demanding, especially with regard to her servants. She’s accustomed to getting what she wants, but she’s also deeply naive because of her pampered lifestyle. As for her sister Isobel, it would be safe to say she’s not quite as outspoken. Instead, she’s warm and genuine, and a bit plainer than Geneva.

Based on Diana Gabaldon’s incredibly popular books, Outlander’s third season will follow Claire (Caitriona Balfe) as she returns to her life in 1948. Claire is pregnant, and struggles with the fallout of her reappearance and its effect on Frank (Tobias Menzies), her first husband. In the 18th century, Jamie (Sam Heughan) is dealing with the aftermath of his loss at the battle of Culloden and the loss of Claire. The pair try to live apart as years pass.

The Starz drama’s 13-episode third season began filming in August in Scotland, and will move to South Africa in 2017.
