The Stranger Things Cast Reunites in New Season 4 Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

And the hype begins for Stranger Things Season 4. Netflix just released a behind-the-scenes video of a recent table read in Atlanta, and it’s every bit as vintage-looking as you might imagine. The video feels as if it was shot on a camcorder, as Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair) peers outside an industrial-looking door, jokingly shushes the cameraperson, and quietly invites the viewer behind the scenes.

Inside, the cast appears to be happily reuniting. David Harbour (Chief Hopper) hugs Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler); Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) laughs; Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson) and Wolfhard takes turns shooting with a home video camera; Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield) says, “Oh my god, it’s happening.”

Pretty much the whole cast makes an appearance, including Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley), Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers) and Joe Keery (Steve Harrington). There are many playful close-ups and candid shots of cast members.

The video comes on the heels of Netflix’s recent announcement that the series would be promoting Brett Gelman, who plays journalist Murray Bauman, to a regular role for Season 4, as per Deadline. In the video, Gelman can be seen saying, “the real work begins.” Not too coincidently, production on the forthcoming season is ongoing. A release date is not yet confirmed, but a return to the Upside Down is imminent.
