T.J. Miller Arrested After Allegedly Slapping Cab Driver During Argument Over Donald Trump

TV News T..J. Miller

At 1 a.m. Friday morning, Silicon Valley star T.J. Miller was taken into police custody for battery on a cab driver, according to LAPD officer Jenny Houser, who spoke to THR. Apparently, Miller and the driver were arguing about Donald Trump (Miller presumably being on the anti-Trump side of that dispute) when the altercation occurred and Miller was placed under citizen’s arrest.

Prior to the incident, Miller appeared on Conan to talk about his forthcoming movie Office Christmas Party, where he demonstrated his “hardcore” solidarity with the safety pin movement by stabbing one through his ear. After that, Miller went to the GQ Men of the Year party, still sporting the safety pin and bloody suit.

According to TMZ and their own “law enforcement sources,” Miller was on his way home from the party when he and his Uber driver got into the argument over Trump. When they arrived at Miller’s home, Miller slapped the driver in the head, and the driver made a citizen’s arrest and called the police. After being taken into custody, Miller was released without needing to post bail.
