Netflix and The Jim Henson Company have unveiled a glut of new voice actors and images from their soon-to-be-released Dark Crystal prequel series, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians), Benedict Wong (Avengers: Endgame), Sigourney Weaver, Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) and Henson veteran Dave Goelz are now among the (literally) dozens of cast members required to bring the puppet epic to life. Additionally, Queen Cersei herself—Lena Headey—obviously can’t stay away from the fantasy genre for long.

In a press release, the series’ director and executive producer, Louis Leterrier, had this to say about collecting such a varied cast:

I am so grateful to this dedicated and gifted ensemble who has so beautifully voiced the characters performed by our puppeteers. Gathering such highly skilled performers was only possible because of their love and respect for Jim Henson’s work and his ongoing legacy

Let’s take a look at some of the characters’ best head shots:

Maudra Fara – Lena Headey

Based solely on that battle axe, Fara appears to be a worthy follow-up role to Headey’s run on Game of Thrones. Who knew a Gelfling could look kind of badass?

The Collector – Awkwafina

Awkwafina is known for her comedy skills and rap talent, but will she able to pull off portraying one of the series’ villains? The Skeksis are the physical embodiment of evil, and The Collector’s warty visage definitely taps into that.

The General – Benedict Wong

Wong’s General boasts armor and a confident expression, as any military leader should.

Naia – Hannah John-Kamen

A shock of blue braids and pimply forehead scream “angsty teen” to us.

Baffi – Dave Goelz

Goelz voiced a furry ball of attitude in the original 1982 film, returning to voice … another furry ball of attitude. But Baffi’s eyepatch is a new element. What happened to your eye, Baffi? Who hurt you?

Rian – Taron Egerton

Rian’s duds look slightly less extravagant than the ones Egerton sported in this year’s Rocketman, but we can’t deny that hair is looking fresh to death. Not bad for a Gelfling castle guard.

Brea – Anya Taylor-Joy

Brea is a Gelfling princess, but her expression and relatively modest outfit tells us she’s likely more Leia Organa than Cinderella.

Deet – Nathalie Emmanuel

Prophets don’t have time to waste on fashion; Deet’s mussed-up ‘do and ragged clothes are perfect.

The Heretic – Andy Samberg

Yeah, yeah. That face paint looks nice, and the Illuminati necklace is intriguing. But, uh, is that a railroad spike hammered into his skull?

The Scientist – Mark Hamill

You can tell this guy’s a scientist because of his eyepiece for magnifying things and the test tube in his pocket.

All-Maudra – Helena Bonham Carter

Ten to one All-Maudra is the wisest and most parental figure in the series.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is due to launch on Netflix Aug. 30. Check out our previous coverage, including a full teaser and synopsis, here.
