The Lost Boys is Slated for a TV Adaptation

TV News The Lost Boys

The CW is working on a TV adaptation of the cult horror-comedy The Lost Boys. Rob Thomas, creator of iZombie and Veronica Mars, will be at the helm of the to-be TV series based on the 1987 movie starring Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman.

With its creators hoping for a seven-season, anthology-style run, the series will take place over 70 years with the people, places, setting and story ever shifting from season-to-season. Only the Lost Boys, frozen in their youth, will remain unchanged.

The first season will open on the Summer of Love, San Francisco, 1967. A cast is yet to be announced. The reimagined story will delve into the realities of the boys’ immortality, and the issues they face that accompany it.
