Amazon has announced that its award-winning original show Transparent will be renewed for a fifth season. The announcement comes ahead of the premiere of the show’s fourth season, which will release on Sept. 22. Amazon made sure to mention in their announcement that the cast of the entire Pfefferman family will be returning.
“Over the past few seasons the Pfeffermans have gone across the world, back in time and made many, many trips to the deli,” said Joe Lewis, Amazon Studios’ Head of Comedy, Drama and VR, in a statement. “We’re so excited to see what magic Jill and the incredible team bring to this always groundbreaking series in season five.”
Transparent’s creator Jill Soloway commented:
