If the seventh and penultimate episode of True Detective awakened your dormant interest last night, as it did for me, then you may be in full-on TD Hype Mode—a state of being last experienced either at the start of this season or the end of the first. It’s great to be back, and I only regret that it has a maximum duration of one week until the dreaded offseason is upon us.
