Wandering down this road that we call life, is what we’re doin’—again—as the Boy Meets World spinoff, Girl Meets World, hits the Disney Channel this summer.
The first 30-second glimpse shows the Matthews’ family: parents Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel), their tween daughter Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and her best friend Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), who will supposedly be the equivalent of Cory’s BFF Shawn.
The sitcom will follow the same footsteps of Boy Meets World: a chronicle of coming-of-age events and everyday lessons learned by Cory and Topanga’s daughter, Riley.
Riley: “How long do I have to live in my father’s world?”
Cory: “Until you make it yours.”
Riley: “If I do, will you still be there for me?”
Topanga: “Right here.”
Fans of the original show, which premiered in 1993, will be drawn to watch, specifically for the return of Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong), Minkus (Lee Norris) and Mr. Feeny (William Daniels).
