Ruth Bader Ginsburg Not Dying, World Breathes Sigh of Relief

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is cancer-free and requires no further treatment after her surgery last month. She plans to return to the Supreme Court but will miss oral arguments next week while she recovers, per NPR.

Ginsburg, 85, underwent surgery last month for early stage lung cancer. “Her recovery is on track,” court spokeswoman Kathleen L. Arberg said of Ginsburg in a statement. “Post-surgery evaluation indicates no evidence of remaining disease, and no further treatment is required.” In the meantime, the justice has been working on briefs and transcripts from the comfort of home.

This is the third time Ginsburg has had cancer, but she isn’t dubbed the “Notorious RBG” for nothing.
