Danny Boyle keen to direct second 28 Days Later sequel

Back in September, Danny Boyle told MTV News he had an idea for a sequel to 28 Weeks Later, but said it “might be silly” and that he hadn’t run it by anyone officially. Since then there have been assorted rumors about possible directors and plot ideas, but perhaps unsurprisingly, no confirmations.

Comic writer working on two Road to Perdition sequels

Word of mouth for Revolutionary Road is pretty hot right now, not to mention interest surrounding what else Sam Mendes may be up to in the future. But strangely enough, that's not the only of his works that's getting some notice from the studios. EMO Films announced that it will be expanding his Road to Perdition into a trilogy, with the writer for Perdition's comic book Max Allan Collins (which it was adapted from) on board as director.

Boondock Saints 2 begins shooting

We've been anxiously awaiting Boondock Saints 2: All Saint's Day for years, but forgive us if we were skeptical it would ever actually get made. Not only had director Troy Duffy pissed off seemingly everyone in Hollywood, but the movie had been in production hell so long that it was starting to tread into Chinese Democracy territory. Or maybe Duke Nukem Forever.

Christopher Nolan says he's tentative on Dark Knight sequel

The blitz of sequel rumors that followed The Dark Knight’s release this summer have been silenced a number of times, mostly because director Christopher Nolan spent the second half of his summer off the coast of Florida with his family. Sixth book in Hitchhiker's "trilogy" announced

Douglas Adams' death was a sad event years ago, but even with the release of chapters in The Salmon of Doubt, his works felt pretty much completed. While he was ostensibly working on a sequel to (in some ways) both Dirk Gently and the Hitchhiker's Guide, neither series really needed it. In fact, the end of Mostly Harmless did its best to wipe that possibility out by not just killing every main character, but instead utterly annihilating them in every possible universe that ever could have existed. The man was pretty thorough.

Raimi and Maguire re-team for Spider-Man sequels

You need only click here for a brief reminder (or here for a much longer one) of how bad Spider-Man 3 was. Overlong, overstuffed and overcrowded with no less than three villains, Spider-Man 3 was a let-down in nearly every department.

Watch the Tron sequel trailer

If Paste had existed back in the early '80s, it's probable that the P4ST3 51GN5 of L1F3 4 1982 would have featured a little movie about video games and virtual reality called Tron, starring a relatively unknown actor named Jeff Bridges.
