It’s hard to name a song that’s universally enjoyed, but just about everyone loves “Baby Got Back,” Sir Mix-A-Lot’s 1992 ode to gluteal gigantism. That apparently includes the entire Seattle Symphony, who brought down the concert hall Friday night with the rump-shaking classic. Joined on stage by the legendary MC himself, the symphony made their stance on big butts eminently clear for the city’s black-tie crowd.
In short: they really, really like ‘em.
But while both the orchestra and Mix-A-Lot performed well, the real stars of the show were the symphony’s impromptu dance troupe. Never let it be said that Seattle ladies don’t get down. Check it out above.
