Steep Canyon Rangers is a Grammy award-winning bluegrass band known for frequent appearances with collaborator Steve Martin and, perhaps more so, for their relentless touring. Having played together for over a decade, the band has announced their ninth studio album RADIO.
”’Radio’ is a bit of a tribute to all the music that we’ve fallen and will continue to fall in love with,” says banjo player Graham Sharp. “We trace our lives through the songs that we sing, and here’s what the last year sounds like for us.”
The video for the title track really celebrates the band’s live chops—something that won’t be a surprise to anyone who’s experienced their show for themselves.
“If you are a true music fan of any genre, you are going to dig what SCR is putting out there,” says video producer Chris Bramley. “After spending some time on the road with the Steeps, they confirmed for me what most bluegrass fans already know: they are truly ready for bigger stages. It will be fun to witness the evolution of the Rangers as they grow into crossover artists that will light up larger and larger crowds.”
