Jackie Greene has spent the better part of the last decade and a half making music, releasing seven solo LPs as well as performing with The Black Crowes and his own side band, Trigger Hippy. Back to Birth, Greene’s latest release and his Yep Roc debut, is an apt display of Greene’s vibrant songwriting fans deft skill on multiple instruments. The album was released last month after months on the road, and now Greene has release a visual for album track “Trust Somebody.”

“I”ve always wanted to write a song like ‘Trust Somebody’,” says Greene. “It’s a pretty powerful sentiment and I tried to distill some fairly complex ideas about the circular nature of life, love and luck and present them with as much honesty as possible.

The video was shot on the road this summer as Jackie and the band played all over the country, from Brooklyn to San Francisco.

“I wanted to extend [the song’s] ideas to the video and give our fans a little glimpse into our life on the road,” Green says. “We have a great time playing live and our fans and audiences are always awesome.”
