David Bowie Breaks Vevo Record Previously Held By Adele

Somehow, we think Adele is totally okay with this.

Following the heartbreaking news that David Bowie died, on Jan. 11 there were 51 million views on his collection of Vevo videos. This makes Bowie the record-holder for most views for one artist in one day on Vevo. This record was previously held by Adele after she released “”Hello late last year and pretty much broke YouTube with 36 million views.

There was an 5198% increase on Bowie’s Vevo page in viewership based on data from the prior seven days. Check out the collection of Bowie’s videos on Vevo here.
