JazzFest Announces 2016 Lineup: Headliners Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam, RHCP, and Neil Young

Music News Stevie Wonder

New Orleans’ JazzFest is back with its typical mix of great legacy acts, up-and-comers, and diverse artists. This year’s headliners: Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Neil Young + Promise of the Real.

Stevie Wonder appears not to have aged at all in the past 40 years, with this latest show coming on the heels of last year’s massive Songs in the Key of Life tour. Meanwhile, the Chili Peppers return to the road in preparation for the release of their first studio album since 2011’s I’m With You, and Pearl Jam looks to be set for a summer of filling massive festivals.

The rest of the lineup features an incredible variety of artists, from hip-hop acts (J. Cole, Snoop Dogg) to jazzy rock (Steely Dan, Van Morrison) to blues (Gary Clark Jr., Jonny Lang) to ubiquitous New Orleans funk (Galactic, Snarky Puppy). Among the past year’s rising stars in attendance will be Elle King and The Lone Bellow.

JazzFest will take place on two consecutive weekends, from Apr. 22 to May 1, in New Orleans. Check out the extensive full lineup here.
