Movies News Donald Glover

With production on Spider-Man: Homecoming rumored to start later this month, another actor is in talks to join the film’s already star-studded cast. Donald Glover, who is known on stage as Childish Gambino, may join the superhero film, but his character has yet to be revealed, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Sony’s reboot of the Marvel comic stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in his high school days. Holland has already appeared as the awkward teen superhero in Captain America: Civil War.

Michael Keaton is set to play the film’s villain, while Marisa Tomei is cast as Aunt May, and Zendaya as the female lead. Robert Downey Jr. will also make an appearance as Iron Man.

Glover has already entered the Spider-Man universe by voicing Miles Morales, the second Spider-Man, in the Ultimate Spider-Man television series on Disney XD. However, details of Glover’s Homecoming character are being kept tightly under wraps.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is due out on July 7, 2017.
