Complete Newport Folk Festival Lineup Announced, Featuring Alabama Shakes and Father John Misty

The Newport Folk Festival, named after the city it takes place in, has finished announcing its complete lineup for this year’s festival, taking place from July 22-24. This year, Alabama Shakes, Father John Misty, Norah Jones, The Arcs, Edward Sharpe, Graham Nash, Elvis Costello and The Violent Femmes will headline the 3-day festival.

The festival, based in Rhode Island, began in July 1959 but has since continued annually. This year, it is being held at Fort Adams State Park and will take place across four stages. Tickets are currently sold out, but there is a fan-to-fan resale option and kickoff and aftershow tickets are still being sold. Last year’s festival featured performances from Courtney Barnett, Laura Marling and First Aid Kit.
