It’s not often that we condone going to Taco Bell in the daytime (or at all), but a free Doritos Locos taco is reason enough to make an exception. The tortilla-slinging fast-food chain is handing out free tacos tomorrow, Tuesday, June 21, from 2 to 6 p.m. local time, as part of its “Steal a Game, Steal a Taco” promotion.
Taco Bell teamed up with the NBA for the promo, promising to reward America with free Doritos Locos tacos if either the Cleveland Cavaliers or Golden State Warriors could “steal” (read: win) an away game during the NBA Finals. The Warriors did just that in Game 4, taking down the Cavs in Cleveland and earning us all free fast food. (The Warriors themselves weren’t so fortunate, as they lost last night’s Game of Thrones-interrupting Game 7 to LeBron James and company.)
Taco Bell’s offer is not without fine print: the promo is limited to one free taco per person, and only at participating U.S. Taco Bell locations. You can, however, have your choice of flavor: Fiery Doritos, Cool Ranch or Nacho Cheese. Find your local Taco Bell here unless, God help you, you already know where it is.
