Per Ticketmaster’s website, “’free tickets’ are available on a first-come, first-served basis” for general admission and will be available to customers through their Ticketmaster accounts. Vouchers have been given to customers who purchased tickets between Oct. 21, 1999, and Feb. 27, 2013, with a cap of 17 tickets for each person. Around 50 million customers are eligible. In addition, they’re giving out $42 million worth of discount codes over the next four years.
Today, Ticketmaster posted a list of 450 concerts eligible for those free vouchers, including performances by The Cure, Black Sabbath, Mumford and Sons, Bob Dylan, Flight of the Conchords, Prophets of Rage, “Weird Al” Yankovich, Brand New with Modest Mouse, Blink-182, Weezer, Duran Duran, Hall and Oates, and Gary Clark Jr. Find the full list here.
However, many Ticketmaster users are already having problems purchasing tickets. Maybe it was because the purchases didn’t require a service fee?
