Jason Momoa in Talks to Play The Crow in Forthcoming Reboot

Movies News The Crow

Jason Momoa, best known as the brutal Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones and the current Aquaman of the DC Extended Universe, is now in talks to star in the forthcoming reboot of ‘90s cult-hit The Crow.

Mashable reported the news a few days after Momoa posted a photo of himself and director Corin Hardy celebrating something with pints of Guinness (a common trope in Momoa’s life). Find that photo below.

The role of The Crow’s title character became Hollywood legend when Brandon Lee, the star of the 1994 original, was accidentally killed on set after suffering a lethal shot from a gun that was supposed to have been disabled.

The reboot has been a long-gestating project met with several setbacks. Luke Evans, who played Bard the Bowman in The Hobbit trilogy, was originally chosen as The Crow, but dropped out early last year.

Tom Hiddleston, Bradley Cooper, James McAvoy and Jack Huston were other names thrown in the nest, but none reached the same level of commitment Momoa seems to be displaying.

Momoa’s standalone Aquaman film is currently set for a 2018 release, and according to Mashable’s report, it won’t interfere with his duties as The Crow.
