Watch SNL Spoof the Presidential Debate, Now with More Alec Baldwin

Saturday Night Live returned over the weekend, and it opened the way it always had to, with a debate between Kate McKinnon’s Hillary Clinton and Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump. This was Baldwin’s debut as Trump, or as Lester Holt (Michael Che) calls him, “The man responsible for the bottom half of all his kids’ faces.”

SNL’s take on the debate is sadly realistic, right down to Trump’s meltdown after about two minutes. “My microphone’s broken,” he says. “She broke it with Obama. She and Obama stole my microphone. They took my microphone to Kenya and they broke it, and now it’s broken.”

The sketch also found time to poke fun at Clinton’s facial expressions as Trump spoke about “the blacks” who “are killing each other. All the blacks live on one street in Chicago, all on one street! I actually read that this morning, it’s called Hell Street.”

Baldwin’s take on Trump was an excellent impression, and the writing seemed to understand how carelessly insensitive Trump can be on a number of sensitive topics. As the debate came to a close, McKinnon’s Clinton only had one question: “Can America vote right now?”

Check out the full clip above, and watch Che’s Holt remind viewers that this was a debate to choose the President. We’re pretty sure it was the first one to mention Rosie O’Donnell.
