Listen to Animal Collective’s Unreleased 2010 Song “Mountain Game,” Recorded for Red Dead Redemption

You know what would have been awesome? A western action-adventure videogame backed by shimmery, restless electronic music. But thanks to the poor judgment of the Red Dead Redemption creators, we don’t have that: back in 2010, they apparently decided not to use the song that Animal Collective had written for Red Dead, “Mountain Game.”

At least we can hear it now—the band shared the track via Twitter this morning. It’s a nice dose of Animal Collective from one of the band’s golden periods.
