Behold, The Bob’s Burgers Music Album

Bob’s Burgers is really wonderful for many reasons. From the many different surprise guests, the many puns and ridiculous situations the Belchers find themselves in, there’s a wealth of comically delightful material here. But there’s one really special element that sets Bob’s Burgers apart from other animated comedy shows: the music. Ah, the music. Many episodes feature quirky little musical numbers that really embrace the chaos and weirdness of the Belchers’ lives. Well, lucky for all of us, Sub Pop is releasing a huge collection of music from the show, The Bob’s Burgers Musical Album.

Featuring 107 songs from the first 107 episodes, the album features musical performances from the regular cast members and guest appearances from some cool people like Bill Hader (Mickey!), Aziz Ansari, Kevin Kline, Sarah Silverman, Zach Galifianakis, Cyndi Lauper and Carly Simon. There’s also five tracks included from “Bob’s Buskers,” cover versions of songs from the show by St. Vincent, The National, Låpsley and Stephen Merritt of Magnetic Fields

As if all that weren’t enough, you can get the album in several different versions. If you’re only interested in the music, there’s the standard digital, CD and vinyl LP editions. But, for those that are interested in adventure and maybe a little magic, there’s a deluxe edition that will unlock the deepest crevices of the coldest hearts. You can find a really magical video of Teddy unboxing the deluxe edition embedded below, but inside the magical box, you’ll find three LP vinyl’s, a 7” vinyl with the “Bob’s Buskers” cover songs (all of the vinyl comes in magnificent condiment colors like ketchup red, mustard yellow and relish green), a hardbound lyric book with Bob’s Burgers artwork, a soft-cover sheet-music songbook, three original posters, a six-piece sticker pack and a patch. It’s like they know what we really need.

The Bob’s Burgers Musical Album releases on May 12. You can preorder it here, and in addition to the unboxing video, find the first couple of songs from the album below. Because we care.
