Pixar has released the first gorgeous teaser for their forthcoming original animated film Coco—watch above.

Coco follows the story of Miguel (voiced by newcomer Anthony Gonzalez), who dreams of becoming a great musician like his great-great-grandfather Ernesto de la Cruz. Unfortunately, his family doesn’t sympathize with his musical aspirations. In order to prove himself, Miguel breaks into de la Cruz’s mausoleum to borrow his ancestor’s famed skull guitar. By strumming the guitar, Miguel sets off a train of events that catapults him firmly into the Land of the Dead. Now, as a living ghost, Miguel teams up with trickster Hector (voiced by Gael García Bernal) and ugly-cute dog Dante to navigate the Land of the Dead and unravel a few mysterious family secrets. Judging from the stunning trailer, Coco will meet Pixar’s incredibly high animation standards and then some.

The film is directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3), who describes Coco as “a love letter to Mexico.” Adrian Molina (Monsters University) co-directs and Darla K. Anderson (Toy Story 3) produces. Coco is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 22—less than a month after the official Day of the Dead.
