Sure, you’ve known about “Uprising” for days because of the leaks, but Blizzard has officially confirmed that the game’s latest event starts today.
“Uprising” adds the first co-op brawl since Halloween’s “Junkenstein’s Revenge,” and takes players back to Tracer’s (or Cadet Oxton’s) first mission as a member of Overwatch. Here’s the official description of the event, straight from Blizzard:
Journey seven years into the past and join a group of Overwatch agents fighting through the streets of King’s Row to quell an uprising led by Null Sector, a rogue group of omnics. Team up with your friends and play as Tracer, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, or Mercy to defeat the robots and liberate the city. There are no reinforcements. Failure is not an option. The future depends on you.
As is the case with all of Overwatch’s seasonal events, expect a host of new skins, highlight intros, emotes and sprays, many of which you can find here, at the game’s official site.
Be sure to check out the event’s announcement trailer below if you haven’t already. “Uprising” begins for Overwatch today and lasts until May 1.
