HBO Has Set a Debut Date for the Duplass Brothers Anthology Series Room 104

HBO has confirmed a summer premiere date for the new series from Mark and Jay Duplass, Room 104. Set in a single American motel room, Room 104 is an anthology series that will tell the stories of different people who stay in the room over the course of 12 episodes in half-hour increments. It’s an interesting premise, and could prove to be an even better comedy.

Room 104 will include actors like Hugo Armstrong, Davie-Blue, Melonie Diaz, Jay Duplass, Veronica Falcon, Adam Foster, Ellen Geer, Keir Gilchrist, Philip Baker Hall, Sarah Hay, Poorna Jagannathan, Orlando Jones, Ethan & Gavin Kent, Amy Landecker, Konstantin Lavysh, Sameerah Luqmaan-Harris, Keta Meggett, Natalie Morgan, Ross Partridge, Karan Soni, Dendrie Taylor, Tony Todd, Will Tranfo, James Van Der Beek, Mae Whitman and Nat Wolff through it’s 12-episode run. Who will mingle with who is not entirely clear, but it’s not unreasonable to think that these stories might overlap in some way or another. Honestly, just think of all the things you’ve left behind in hotel rooms in the past, and then consider that a motel is a severe step below hotel. It could get seedy pretty quickly.

Room 104 is set to premiere on HBO on Friday, July 28. Check out the show’s first teaser photo below.
