Netflix’s Sense8 Is Coming to a Close

Netflix has canceled its original series Sense8 after two seasons. Vice President of Original Content Cindy Holland said that Sense8 was “everything [she] and the fans dreamed it would be: bold, emotional, stunning, kick ass and outright unforgettable.”

Holland showed her appreciation for the show’s “deeply passionate” fans, as well as the cast and crew of the show. Sense8 ran for a total of 23 episodes. Read Holland’s full statement on the show’s cancellation below, and take a look at Paste’s eight favorite secondary characters here. Find the rest of our coverage of Sense8 here.

After 23 episodes, 16 cities and 13 countries, the story of the Sense8 cluster is coming to an end. It is everything we and the fans dreamed it would be: bold, emotional, stunning, kick ass, and outright unforgettable. Never has there been a more truly global show with an equally diverse and international cast and crew, which is only mirrored by the connected community of deeply passionate fans all around the world. We thank Lana, Lilly, Joe and Grant for their vision, and the entire cast and crew for their craftsmanship and commitment.
