Kaley Honeycutt is the youngest child in her family and has four older brothers. She was often called the crybaby as a kid, and although the outward self-proclaimed oversensitivity has been harnessed, Honeycutt’s musical project Baby!—which takes its name from the taunting name she was called so many years ago—makes sure those emotions don’t get totally washed away in her surf-pop daze.
Back in April, Baby! released their debut EP Pick Me and the band announced today a full-length album called Sunny, F.L. due out August 25. Lead single “If I’m Sorry” sounds at once apathetic and driven with its respective heavy, humid reverb and background guitar solos. Lyrically, too, “If I’m Sorry” poses that hypothetical—a conditional of remorse or regret—that’s not entirely swayed toward either determination.
