There are tons of different things you can drink when it’s hot outside, but not all warm-weather drinks are created equal, and some cocktails are just too much for really hot temps. If you’re planning an outdoor gathering, tailgate, or picnic here are a few cocktails perfect to sip on now matter what the temperature.
Tennessee’s Whistlin’ Dixie
Ingredients:
2 oz. Dixie Southern Vodka
3 oz. Jumbo Fruit Punch
Directions: Shake with ice, top with soda, squeeze 1/4 lime.
Morgan Mule
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
4 oz. Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer
Mint Sprig
Lime
Directions: Muddle mint and lime in the bottom of a tall glass. Add ice, Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum and ginger ale. Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wheel. Stir and serve.
Southern Charm
Ingredients:
2 oz. Dixie Citrus Vodka
3 cucumber slices
2 oz. apple cider
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2 mint leaves
Directions: Fill shaker with ice and add all ingredients. Shake; pour in ice-filled glass. Top with tonic. Garnish with cucumber slice.
Loco & Coco
Ingredients:
3 oz. Captain Morgan LocoNut
4 oz. Coconut Water
Directions: Combine Captain Morgan LocoNut and coconut water into a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass with ice.
North Carolina’s Dixie Cherry Picker
Ingredients:
2 oz. Dixie Citrus Vodka
4 oz. Cheerwine
Directions: Shake with ice, squeeze of 1/4 lemon, squeeze of 1/4 lime on top.
