Listen to a New Foo Fighters Song, “The Line”

Foo Fighters are readying their ninth album, Concrete and Gold, for a Sept. 15 release, and on Thursday they unveiled another new song from the record, “The Line.”

Chief Foo Dave Grohl called the song “a search for hope in this day and age where you feel as if you’re fighting for your life with every passing moment, and everything is on the line.”

“The Line” is the third track we’ve heard from Concrete and Gold, following “Run” and “The Sky Is a Neighborhood,” the latter of which came with a Grohl-directed sci-fi video. The album is set to be released alongside an “animated rockumentary” called The Making of Concrete and Gold, which promises to tell us what birds, bees, chicken Wings, Justin Timberlake and a Beatle have in common.

Foo Fighters will support Concrete and Gold with an arena tour kicking off Oct. 7 at Cal Jam 17 festival in San Bernardino, Calif. (also featuring Queens of the Stone Age, Cage the Elephant, Liam Gallagher, The Kills, Royal Blood, Japandroids, Wolf Alice, Bob Mould, and more). Check out more Foo Fighters dates below:
