The Incredibles 2 Trailer Incoming, Film Reportedly Adds Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener

It’s been over a decade of waiting, but The Incredibles 2 is indeed happening. Just in time for the release of Disney and Pixar’s Coco next week, a trailer for Brad Bird’s sequel to his beloved animated superhero family film is coming tomorrow.

Bird has promised “new directions for the characters and feel of the sequel.”

Meanwhile, The Tracking Board reports that Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener have been added to the film’s voice cast. Odenkirk, of course, is known now for his work in Better Call Saul, and will appear in Steven Spielberg’s The Post and James Franco’s The Disaster Artist, with Keener appearing this year in the hit “comedy” Get Out. No details were provided on what roles these performers will have.

Most of the original voice cast from the first film will return for the sequel, including Craig T. Nelson as Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible, Holly Hunter as Helen Parr/Elasti-Girl (whom the film is said to focus on), Sarah Vowell as Violet, Samuel L. Jackson as Lucius Best/Frozone and director Bird as fashion designer Edna Mode. As the film takes place directly after the first, Huck Milner will replace a now post-puberty Spencer Fox as Dash.

The Incredibles 2 recently had its release date bumped up by an entire year, and will release on June 15, 2018.
