Joel McHale Unveils New Comedy Show Coming to Netflix

Comedian Joel McHale has just revealed that he has a new comedy series coming to Netflix.

The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale is a new half-hour weekly topical series that, according to Netflix, “takes a sharp, absurdist look at pop culture and news from across the globe.” The streamer further describes the show as “a fast and funny distillation of everything people are talking about that week,” sure to interest “comedy lovers, or just people who really, really like green screens.” It will feature “celebrity guests, comedy sketches, and insane video clips from the worldwide realms of TV, sports, politics, celebrity culture, and every corner of the internet.”

So … The Soup 2.0? Got it.

McHale previously starred in the NBC comedy Community, and can be seen in the forthcoming Netflix comedy film A Futile and Stupid Gesture. He also hosted The Soup for about a decade.

The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale launches Feb. 18 on Netflix, with its 13 half-hour episodes rolling out weekly. Watch a McHale-tweeted teaser for the show below.
