“So what’s the sitch?” Kim Possible is getting her very own live-action movie on the Disney Channel, that’s the sitch, according to a report from THR. The series premiered 16 years ago on Disney Channel and ended in 2007. It appears casting on the fim is already underway.
The original Kim Possible show followed your average, everyday high school girl facing boy problems, family and friends drama, schoolwork, sports and so on, except she also saves the world. Her best friend, Ron Stoppable, and his naked mole rat, Rufus, assisted her in taking down some clever, yet also slightly comical villains. The animated series ran 87 episodes in total and received two original animated movies.
Series creators Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley penned the script for the live-action film alongside The DUFF’s Josh Cagan. I, Tonya executive producer and Easy A producer Zanne Devine will executive produce the Disney Channel film with McCorkle and Schooley. The film will be co-directed and co-produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky. The two worked together on the Disney XD sci-fi show Mech-X4 beginning in 2016.
