Janelle Monae Announces North American Tour Dates, Shares “I Like That” Video

Janelle Monae has announced North American tour dates in support of her forthcoming third studio album, Dirty Computer, out on April 27 via Atlantic Records.

Her upcoming North American Dirty Computer tour will feature 27 dates and support will come from soulful duo St. Beauty. The Live Nation-produced tour will kick off June 11 in Seattle, making stops at amphitheaters and theaters in cities like Los Angeles, Detroit, Nashville, New York, Miami and more—the tour finishes on Aug. 4 in Atlanta. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on May 2 at LiveNation.com.

Every online U.S. ticket purchased for Monae’s 2018 tour includes a standard digital copy of her new album. Instructions on how to redeem the album will be sent to ticket purchasers via email on the album’s release date.

Monae previously releasing buzz-worthy visuals for hot singles “Make Me Feel,” “Django Jane” and “PYNK” (featuring Grimes and Tessa Thompson). On Monday, Monae shared the video for her single “I Like That.” “I Like That” is a trap, R&B and synth-pop crossover track, and the video features Monae in a series of grand, outlandish outfits, each looking like they came from a different planet. Perhaps the outfits serve as a visual metaphor for each of the diverse genres from which the song pulls.
