Weird Milk Bring the Best of Pop’s Yesteryear on “Anything You Want”

London retro-pop outfit Weird Milk have shared their new single, “Anything You Want.” This new release follows last year’s single “Better,” and 2017’s “All Night” and “This Close.”

“Anything You Want” sees Weird Milk stuck between two realities—a wistful, secure loneliness and an ambitious, fruitful venture into the unknown—but luckily everyone loves a good charming pop quandary. If their ravishing, subtle guitar warbles aren’t enough to satisfy your classic pop cravings, then the silvery vocal harmonies from co-lead vocalists Zach Campbell and Alex Griffiths will have you digging through your parents’ record collection in no time.

The band say of their new release, “The aim was to create a song of upbeat pop structure that sounded expansive and punchy in terms of production. With the verse lyrics matching this feel with the idea of being able to have anything you want, juxtaposed with a repeating chorus of being at home and sleeping all weekend, these two notions act almost as a conversation of call and response.”
