Emmy-nominated Better Things creator and star Pamela Adlon has joined the cast of Universal’s untitled Pete Davidson and Judd Apatow comedy, set to hit theaters June 19, 2020, as Deadline reports.
Scripted by Apatow, Davidson and Dave Sirus, the project is a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age comedy set on Staten Island that will mirror elements from Davidson’s life. Apatow is set to direct, his first feature since directing 2015’s extremely adequate Trainwreck.
Production will begin this summer in New York City.
The film’s cast also includes Marisa Tomei as Davidson’s mother and Maude Apatow as his sister, plus Bill Burr and Bel Powley in undisclosed roles.
