Joshua Jackson Joins Little Fires Everywhere Cast

Good news for Dawson’s Creek and The Affair fans alike: Joshua Jackson has joined the cast of Hulu’s adaptation of Celeste Ng’s 2017 novel Little Fires Everywhere, according to THR.

The eight-part miniseries will follow the lives of the Richardson family living in 1990s Shaker Heights and an alluring mother-daughter pair that upends their community. Jackson will star alongside Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington, who also serve as executive producers, as the family’s patriarch.

Since its release in 2017, Ng’s novel has fared well, becoming an instant New York Times bestseller and receiving Amazon’s Best Novel of 2017 award. Following a multiple-outlet bidding war, the rights to adapt Ng’s novel ultimately went to Witherspoon’s production company, where she brought it to Life Unexpected writer Liz Tigelaar to serve as showrunner, according to THR.

A tentative release date for the adaptation has yet to be released, but impatient fans can see Jackson in Ava DuVernay’s forthcoming Netflix series When They See Us.
