Rick and Morty Returns for Season Four This Fall

Rick and Morty is finally returning to Adult Swim for a fourth season this fall, as announced at WarnerMedia Upfront on Wednesday. When the dark sci-fi comedy returns to the airwaves in November, it will have been nearly two years since the show’s last episode—an improvement on the 18 months that passed between seasons two and three.

Production on the show’s fourth season began last summer. Series co-creator (and voice of both Rick and Morty) Justin Roiland told Polygon, “It’s exciting, it’s a little surreal. Even just being in the writer’s room for half the day every day this week, the ideas are … it’s going to be great.”

Let’s hope so: Adult Swim ordered an eye-popping 70 episodes of the show last May, a renewal so big, it makes us nervous. Roiland and Dan Harmon certainly have their work cut out for them going forward.

Watch Rick and Morty bicker over who’s going to announce the big news below.
