Courtney Barnett Shares Two New Live Videos

Courtney Barnett released two live Vevo videos on Tuesday.

The indie rocker grabbed her signature red Fender Jaguar to perform her recent singles “Everybody Here Hates You,” and “Small Talk,” with Bones Sloane on bass and Dave Mudie on drums.

In each video, Barnett showcases her half-sung, half-spoken vocal style, and wide array of techniques and abilities as a guitarist.

The drum kit references her 2018 sophomore full-length LP, Tell Me How You Really Feel, released via her own Milk! Records label, Mom + Pop and Marathon Artists.

The introspective lyricist and witty storyteller also recently collaborated with Kurt Vile in 2017 for the duet album Lotta Sea Lice, which has since garnered traction across many music scenes.

Tell Me How You Really Feel and Lotta Sea Lice ranked highly on Paste’s lists of the best albums of 2018 and 2017, respectively.

Barnett is currently touring North America, including shows with The National, and sets at festivals like Bonnaroo and Wilco’s Solid Sound.

Watch her live renditions of the two singles below, and revisit a 2015 Barnett session from the Paste archives further down.
