Comedian Dan Ahdoot Gives Us a Peek into Celebrities’ Fridges in New Podcast

Comedian Dan Ahdoot is giving us a peek into celebrities’ fridges in his new podcast, Green Eggs & Dan.

Launching today, July 17, on the podcast network Podglomerate, Green Eggs & Dan requires guests to bring along a photo of their fridge before Ahdoot delves into conversation about food and, really, anything else.

Each installment of the podcast kicks off with Ahdoot dissecting and often times poking fun at his guest’s fridge in an exercise that reminds us of Fridge Detective, that old, viral subreddit in which people posted photos of their own fridges for redditors to dissect.

“Taking a new look at ‘you are what you eat,’ comedian Dan Ahdoot brings listeners in on conversations about food, life and more, with some of his most entertaining friends,” the podcast’s official Apple Podcasts description explains. “Not your typical, holier-than-thou food show, Green Eggs & Dan is the type of food podcast you’d make with your friends around the table, roasting more than just the food.”

Each fridge comes with a fun surprise, Ahdoot assures listeners. For example, he told Variety that comedian Hasan Minhaj has quite a few Guy Fieri products, while professional chef Ignacio Matto’s fridge looks like a barren wasteland.

We’ll also get conversations about food and cooking, a rapid-fire round of questions and some useful cooking tips.

Ahdoot told Variety that food is a major part of his life and an excellent conversation starter that tends to give you a clear look at who someone is. “Comedy is my day job, food is my passion,” Ahdoot told the outlet.

You can expect a new installment of Green Eggs & Dan every Wednesday on Apple, Spotify and other podcast streamers.

A New York City-based stand-up comic, Ahdoot is best-known for being a contestant on NBC’s reality TV series Last Comic Standing and performing on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. In between podcast episodes, you can catch him starring on the comedy series Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, a former Seeso show coming to Pluto TV in August.
