Columbus, Tallahassee, Witicha and Little Rock are back to “nut up or shut up” for a second time in the first trailer for Zombieland: Double Tap.
The long-awaited (10 whole years, to be exact) sequel to Ruben Fleischer’s 2009 comedy-horror flick Zombieland, Double Tap sees the beloved cast of Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin back in action to kill some more zombies and garner some more laughs.
The trailer is filled with plenty of slow-motion zombie kills set to AC/DC’s “Shoot to Thrill,” and begins with the four moving themselves into the White House. After settling down, Eisenberg’s Columbus, Stone’s Wichita and Harrelson’s Tallahassee have to go on a rescue mission when Breslin’s Little Rock runs away with a newly introduced hippie musician. After heading back out on the post-apocalyptic road, the group run into some new zombies and new people, but whether those people are friendly is still up in the air.
“In the 10 years since the first movie, zombies have evolved into different types of zombies,” Fleischer explained to Entertainment Weekly. “The one that’s causing the big threat are the T-800 zombies, that are stronger, faster, harder to kill.”
