Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Finally Has a Home Release Date

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which opened in theaters way back in late July, finally has a home release date: The ninth film from the auteur director lands on digital Nov. 26, following on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on Dec. 10, just in time for the holidays.

Starring Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio and nominee Brad Pitt as over-the-hill actor Rick Dalton and his trusty friend and stuntman Cliff Booth, respectively, and with Margot Robbie as iconic actress Sharon Tate, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has been widely acclaimed as one of Tarantino’s very best films (though it has not been without its detractors). Fittingly, the Sony Pictures film earned the writer-director the biggest box office opening of his career, hauling in $40.35 million.

Tarantino nerds are spoiled for extras with this one: Arriving alongside the film’s Dec. 10 physical release is a limited 4K Ultra HD Collector’s Edition (pictured above), which a Sony press release details as follows:

Premium collectible packaging will contain a 7” vinyl record with two of the soundtrack’s grooviest tunes (complete with turntable adapter), a collectible vintage poster for the Rick Dalton film Operazione Dyn-o-mite! and an exclusive new MAD Magazine parody of the Rick Dalton TV series Bounty Law, Lousy Law.

Naturally, the Collector’s Edition will run you more than a fat, five-dollar gold piece. Preorders are open now at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and Target, with a listed price of $75.99 on Amazon.

The 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and digital releases boast plenty of “sights and sounds of the ‘60s,” as well, including an extra 20 minutes of footage that didn’t make it into the (already 161-minute) theatrical cut of the film, and “an additional behind-the-scenes look at the film’s production design, cinematography, costume design, cars and more.”
