Here Are Some Trailers for Japan’s Live-Action Fullmetal Alchemist Movie

Warner Bros. Japan released two trailers for their live-action Full Metal Alchemist adaptation yesterday, which you can check out above and below.

For those who aren’t familiar with the source material, the acclaimed manga tells the story of young, matter-manipulating alchemist brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric. After a failed attempt to resurrect their dead mother, the duo must seek a way to restore their bodies to their normal states. As a result of their forbidden ritual, Edward loses his arm and leg while the soul of the younger Alphonse becomes bound to a large suit of armor.

The books went on to spawn two extremely popular anime and a number of animated features. This version, which follows in the tradition of other low-budget, live-action Japanese adaptations like Attack on Titan, Parasyte and more, will arrive in Japanese theaters at the end of the year. Go ahead and check out both versions of the trailer at the top and bottom of the page, if you haven’t already.
