Watch Billie Eilish’s Dark Self-Directed Video for “everything i wanted”

Billie Eilish self-directed a music video for “everything i wanted,” dedicating the video to her brother and collaborator, Finneas O’Connell. The track is appropriately foreboding, as Eilish sings about a terrifying dream she had about jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge, only to be ignored by loved ones and canceled by fans. The melancholy piano chords submerge us into the Golden Gate Strait’s freezing currents, where no one can hear our screams.

“My brother and I wrote this song about each other and I wanted to create a visual that emphasizes that no matter what, we’ll be there for each other through everything,” says Eilish in a statement. “This is the second video I’ve directed of mine. We worked so hard, for hours and hours on end. I love it, I hope you do too.”

Eilish has been extremely open about her close relationship with her brother, and their heartfelt collaborations make it clear that their relationship is genuine, and not an act for the cameras. Check out the video below.
