Bon Iver Share New Mini-Documentary Autumn Previewing Their Upcoming Tour

To celebrate the release of their inbound fourth album i,i, Bon Iver are embarking on an extensive tour across the U.S. If you’re teetering on the fence about buying a ticket and wondering what those shows might look like, good news: The band shared a mini-documentary titled Autumn on Wednesday to show off what the experience is shaping up to be.

Like Bon Iver’s music, the live show is clearly going to be a multi-sensory experience. Autumn goes really in depth in showing off the technology and minds behind the show. The sound mix is being programmed through a 360-degree PA system, while the dynamic visuals are reflected through a set of moving mirrors designed by Bon Iver’s artistic director, Michael Brown. While not getting lost in the weeds, Autumn does a great job of highlighting all the technical minutiae that goes into a great live show.

Autumn was directed by Andrew Swant and produced by WePresent, which is the editorial branch of file transfer company WeTransfer. Check out the mini-doc below, then go ahead and revisit Bon Iver’s tour dates and i,i’s details here. You can check out the other singles from the album over here. i,i is out Aug. 30 via Jagjaguwar.
