Daily Dose: Video Age, “Hold On (I Was Wrong)”

Daily Dose is your daily source for the song you absolutely, positively need to hear every day. Curated by the Paste Music Team.

On June 15, Video Age will release their new album, Pop Therapy, via Inflated Records. The New Orleans-based, retro-inspired duo, made up of longtime friends Ross Farbe and Ray Micarelli, released their debut, Living Alone, in 2016.

First Pop Therapy single “Hold On (I Was Wrong)” is a regret-fueled dance track, with Farbe’s melancholic lyrics riding the wave of bouncing, bubbling synths. “Tonight I’m on my own / Thinking how I done you wrong,” he sings. A slinky beat and glittering flourishes make the song equal parts futuristic and nostalgic.
