Indigo Girls Welcome Guests For New Album
After signing with Hollywood Records earlier this year Grammy-winning duo The Indigo Girls are set to release their upcoming album Despite Our Differences on Sept 19. Produced by Mitchell Froom (Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow), the record is expected to include 13 tracks and feature a guest appearance by Brandi Carlile. Musical artist Pink, who recorded "Dear Mr. President" with the Indigo Girls on her latest album I'm Not Dead, will also make an appearance on the Despite Our Differences with the collaborated song, "Rock and Roll Heaven’s Gate." Almost 20 years since their debut, Strange Fire, Grammy-winning duo The Indigo Girls have signed with Hollywood Records. Duo members Amy Ray and Emily Saliers are currently recording in Los Angeles with producer Mitchell Froom (Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow). The as-yet-untitled Indigo Girls record is due Sept. 19. Ray and Saliers are expected to preview the new material during a July tour.
